What are the objectives and the expected results of the research project BIM4VET - Standardized Vocational Education and Training for BIM in Europe?
Objectives of the project
Identification of criteria related to the repository of BIM expertise, selection and questionnaire design in order to deploy the Delphi method
Make an overview of the BIM curriculum offer in EU, and the competences they address, based on the network of BIM experts and especially the training organizations and the academic partners
Identification of criteria related to the BIM qualification maturity assessment, selection and questionnaire design in order to deploy the Delphi method
- Expert systems algorithms for training recommendations generation based on present and targeted future BIM qualification maturity level Implement the algorithm of recommendation (WP4) on tangible device
- Optimize the tangible table device based on experimentation results
- Study of the user testing protocol
- Deployment of the user testing protocol for experimentations on the 3 sites (i.e. LIST, CEA LIST, Cardiff University) involving stakeholders of construction sector and members of the expert panel
- Collect and analyze date and produce test report
- Selection of relevant BIM experts across UE (30 experts expected, mostly from the 3 involved countries) including different kind of stakeholders: researchers, training organizations, academic organizations, BIM associations, etc.
- Involvement of BIM experts in the different steps of the Delphi method to contribute to the co-creation of the repository of expertise (WP1) and to the general method for BIM maturity assessment (WP3).
- Post-project exploitation path definition: to assess the most relevant strategies for post-project exploitation of the results, with the objective to leverage the impact of the project through long-lasting, continued availability of the methods / tools to the wider community.

Constitution of a repository of BIM expertise, and a method of BIM qualification maturity assessment based on the Delphi method.
